The Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku, together with the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla and the Director General of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, visited the new building of the Local Directorate and the police station of Peshkopia where they also met the police officers.
Minister Balluku, said that the implemented intervention has brought about a radical transformation of the situation, evaluating the investments for the improvement of the infrastructure, which affect the performance and ease the work for the police officers.
She further added that the Albanian Government has continuously supported the police officers and will continue with other steps to appreciate and reward the work and efforts of the blue uniforms.
Interior Minister Taulant Balla described the investment in the Diber Local Police Directorate as important and which has transformed this directorate into a model in terms of infrastructure.
Balla said that not only the improvement of the infrastructure, but also the financial treatment of the police officers will continue, as he added that from July 1, the application of a significant salary increase for the police officers will begin.
