SP parliamentary group leader Taulant Balla met with German Bundestag member Volkmar Klein. Balla covered the meeting through a post on social networks where he writes that, among other things, they discussed the importance of accelerating the EU enlargement process with the countries of the Western Balkans.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Bundestag member Volkmar Klein to a meeting. Acknowledgment CDU / CSU-Bundestagsfraktion for the continuous support offered to Albania and the countries of the Western Balkans on the path to membership in the European Union. I stressed the importance of accelerating the EU enlargement process with the countries of the Western Balkans, a strategic decision-making already imposed by the new geopolitical context after the Russian aggression against the sovereignty and people of Ukraine. I greeted the visit a few days ago of the Chairman of the CDU, at the same time Chairman of the CDU / CSU Group in the Bundestag Friedrich Merz in Kiev.
The excellent relations between our governments and countries need to be deepened and concretized into greater economic cooperation in some strategic sectors. Albania remains an excellent offer for many German companies to invest. Germany, with about 1.2 billion euros in funding, ranks first in the support it has given to Albania. “KFW is grateful for the important financing in vital sectors such as water supply, sewerage, transmission and interconnection networks, etc.”, writes Balla.
