Other details have been revealed regarding the international police operation codenamed “Sammogia”, which spread to Albania, Italy and Germany. Three Albanians were arrested in Vlora, at the expense of the Italian state. ABC News reporter Ervin Leka reports that the criminal organization was run by some Albanians.
They received the cocaine and marijuana in Germany and trafficked it in Italy. The German authorities are investigating how the Albanians obtained the narcotic substance.
There are doubts that the narcotic substance was cultivated in Germany, but the possibility that it came from Albania and was then sent to Italy is not excluded.
“It is an operation extended over several months for a group of Albanians who supplied Italy with narcotics, took them to Germany and sent them to the Italian state. Citizens Landi Kalemaj, Floriant Muho and Ledjon Muho were arrested. As for the group, it was led by some Albanians who, after providing the narcotics in the area of Germany, trafficked them in Italy.
There have been several frequent trips made by them, which has caused the Italian police to raise suspicions and start investigations. For the 3 Albanians, the Bologna court has given the security measure of “prison arrest”. As for the other amounts seized, it is about 27 kilograms of cocaine and 11 kilograms of marijuana.
The German side is investigating in its country how the Albanians procured the narcotic substance. In cooperation with the Albanian side, it turned out that these 3 people were involved in the trafficking of narcotics. They were hiding in the Vlora area and were arrested last night. For the three people, residents of the city of Vlora, the execution of this security measure was done by the Albanian side.
The Italian side informed their counterparts in Albania. It still does not result that these people have a previous criminal record”, reported journalist Leka.
