Besnik Mujeci, one of the five arrested from the coded operation “PUNISHER 2”, in which a criminal group that trafficked from Kosovo to Albania narcotics, ecstasy, MDMA, was hit, turns out to be part of the Vetëvendosje Movement. More specifically, he is a member of the municipal assembly of Pristina.
Two of the five arrested are from Pristina. These persons, together with three others from Tirana, transported the drug ecstasy from Pristina to Tirana with bus lines and then used rented cars to distribute it in the cities, mainly on the coast and in public areas.
The police seized 11,300 ecstasy tablets with a market value of around 400,000 euros. A vehicle and 5 mobile phones were also seized. In order to reach agreements with the distributors of synthetic drugs in Albania, the traffickers demanded advance payments or even leaving the means as a guarantee.
