In his first testimony before Italian investigators Alvin Berisha, 11, rescued from prison camp in Syria has tearfully told how his mother was killed as a result of the bombing. He said he had been close to her in those moments.
“My mom was killed by the bombs and I was next to her”
So as it was said before the Italian investigators, during a session with a psychologist, Alvin Berisha, the 11-year-old returned to Italy on November 8 after his mother took him to Syria in 2014.
He is still in shock and will be hospitalized next week for surgery on his leg during the bombing where his mother was killed, reports, abcnews.al
Italian investigators, after consulting with a psychologist decided to ask the child, who still suffers the consequences of the trauma he suffered.
They will ask him again later after the surgery .
Alvin explained that the bombing happened when they were in another camp in Syria, but not in Al Hol.
The child does not remember when the bombing killed his mother but only remembers it was very hot.
Alvin finally returned to Italy on November 8 after five years in Syria and was able to embrace his father and sisters again.
Perhaps only in the future , investigators will be able to understand the dynamics of the facts and learn from him what he experienced when he lived in Syria where he saw all the horrors of the war. /abcnews.al
