November 28, 2020 marks the 108th anniversary of the Albanian’s Independence. The National Assembly of Vlora held its first meeting was held on November 28, 1912, with the act of declaring the Independence of the Albanian State by the Ottoman Empire.
The proclamation of Albania’s Independence was the culmination of centuries of efforts and incessant wars waged by Albanians for the liberation of the country.
This year Flag Day this year will be celebrated in pandemic conditions, due to pandemic conditions the ceremony in the flag square will be dictated by restrictive rules.
In addition to the heads of state in Vlora there will be many visitors, so the mayor has a call for those who want to celebrate; avoid gatherings.
The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, on Flag Day has chosen to start the day with precious words from Ismail Qemali.
