State Police has arrested this Monday a 24-year-old man, who was caught in flagrante while transporting illegal immigrants. The arrested is citizen S.L, 24 years old, resident in Elbasan, who was apprehended by the police services near the village of Memlisht, Pogradec, transporting with the vehicle type “Toyota”, towards Tirana, 7 illegal immigrants, who in return for the profit he had promised them their passage to EU countries.
The police operation codenamed ‘Perimeter’ continues. Following this operation, another case of criminal activity in the field of providing assistance to foreign nationals for illegal border crossing, against profit, was cracked down. One citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto, as he was caught transporting 7 illegal immigrants.
