Besiana Kadare, the daughter of renowned albanian writer Ismail Kadare, has been appointed vice president at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The news was announced by her, through a post on social networks, saying that she feels very honored and privileged for this important post. She further stressed out that Albania will represent the Eastern European Group at the United Nations.
I am proud to announce that Albania will be on charge on the post of Vice President at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly! It is a special honor to serve as Vice President of this historic session and look forward to working with Ambassador Volkan Bozkir, the newly elected President of the General Assembly from Turkey.
It is a privilege and an extraordinary responsibility to serve my country in this important post, with a large audience in the international arena.
