The United Kingdom and Albania have a strong culture of cooperation and partnership in the field of defense.
This year, during a 1-month period, the Albanian special operations regiment and troops of the United Kingdom’s Special Operations Brigade trained together during the fifth “Strong Eagle” exercise.
The aim of the exercise was for the members of the regiments to learn from each other, strengthen existing professional and personal relationships and work towards developing the capabilities of the Albanian Special Forces.
Through a press release of the British embassy, it is announced that this relationship between the two units has been continuous for the last three years and has marked many successes.
Recently, thanks to joint training, a team from the Albanian special operations regiment won a much-deserved silver medal in the annual “Cambrian Patrol” competition in Wales.
