A large fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in the hills in the village of Zhulat in Gjirokastra. The wind has favored the spread of flames. Firefighters and local residents went to the scene who are trying to bring the flames under control, but the mountainous terrain and darkness has made intervention impossible.
They are trying by circumstantial means to isolate the flames so that they do not approach the inhabited area. While, for two days now, the fire continues also on the mountain where the two territories of Gramsh and Skrapar districts are divided.
