Prime Minister Edi Rama announced Tuesday that Albania has received USD 900 million for a development program for the 2023-2027 period.
In the joint conference with the representative of the World Bank in Albania, Emanuel Salinas, Rama said that the country has now entered a new phase in the economic and social life of the country and the necessary foundations have been laid for overcoming the “Albania 2030” objective.
Furthermore, he revealed some figures that had to do with the income per inhabitant or even the growth of exports, tourism and other fields compared to 2013 and 2019, saying that the income per inhabitant per year in Albania has increased from 3300 EUR, to 6190 EUR nowadays.
“This communication is related to a difficult and long process of conversation and negotiation with the World Bank, which is the new development program for the period 2023-2027, for which we received 900 million dollars.
What I want to say is that we are in the conditions of a new phase in the economic and social life of the country and we have laid all the necessary foundations to make another leap in the function of our objective for “Albania 2030″.
I will tell you a few numbers to illustrate what I said. Keep in mind that the income per resident per year in Albania has increased from 3300 euros to 6190 euros today. 87.5%, almost double.

Only agricultural exports increased by 59% compared to 2019 and touched the record figure of half a billion dollars.
Exports of textiles and shoes have reached the figure of 1.15 billion euros.
