The Minister of Economy and Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, made public the government’s decisions after the meeting. Ibrahimaj announced that the increase in pensions has been approved. From October, there are about 678 thousand pensioners who will benefit.
Also, Ibrahimaj announced that the increase of the minimum wage for more than 200,000 employees has been approved.
The Minister of Economy and Finance added that the government has made all decisions transparent in order to reduce budget expenditures.
On September 8, 2022, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj and Minister of Energy, Belinda Balluku presented the second anti-crisis package.
