Foreign Minister Igli Hasani participated in the closing meeting “Albania in the Security Council, contribution to global peace and security during the most challenging times”.
Hasani emphasized that Albania took the mandate at a difficult time for the world, however, it managed to successfully fulfill its tasks. The minister added that with the successful mandate, it was shown that even small countries can contribute.
He also stopped at the Russian aggression in Ukraine, as he added that Albania showed in the Security Council its readiness to contribute.
“Today I want to give a special thanks to all those who worked to turn this mandate into a success story.
There is a fundamental truth in international relations. Small countries like Albania are sometimes destined to witness events. There is one area where small countries can compete with the big countries of the world and that is the area of ideas and principles.
I believe this choice to contribute ideas to the Security Council has been the key to our success. Albania should show that it has something to show when it is given the opportunity on issues that concern security”, said Hasani./abcnews.al
