Albania hold a minute’s silence is tribute to the Queen

At Prime Minister Edi Rama’s meeting with the chambers of commerce, a minute’s silence was held to honor Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away yesterday. It was one of the representatives present who asked to honor the figure of the Queen.

“I would like to invite you for a minute of silence. I am convinced that the Prime Minister has thought of a national day of mourning for Her Majesty”, he said, while those present accepted his request.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away yesterday at the age of 96. She was Britain’s longest-serving leader, reigning for 70 years. After Elizabeth’s death, her son, the former Prince of Wales, Charles, ascended the throne.
