Next week starting Monday through Wednesday schools across the country will be closed due to bad weather. The news was announced today by the Minister of Education Evis Kushi through a post on Facebook. Kushi says that in the following days very low temperatures are expected, which in some areas will reach -17 degrees Celsius.
“Dear students, teachers and parents! I want to inform you that today at MAS we have made an important decision related to the teaching process of our schools at the beginning of next week.
According to the meteorological forecasts, in the following days very low temperatures are expected, which are extraordinary temperatures for a country like ours. It will even reach -17 degrees Celsius in some areas.
For this reason, since our absolute priority at all times is the health and well-being of our children, we have decided that the schools will be closed next week, from Monday to Wednesday, and the lost hours will be replaced in the following after a second notification in cooperation with local education offices.
Of course if the forecasts do not turn out to be accurate, and the temperatures will be acceptable, we will review this decision and will be in constant communication with you, because for us the learning process is of priority importance.
Dear parents!
Please take care of yourself and your children so that we can overcome these difficult winter days as easily as possible.
Thank you very much for your understanding “writes Kushi.
