This Thursday, the agreement between Albania and the United Arab Emirates on cyber security was signed.
In his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the agreement is strategic, as it preserves the integrity of our country. He said that the United Arab Emirates has been by Albania’s side in difficult moments, while among other things he listed the mass exodus of Kosovo Albanians during the war and the devastating earthquake of 2019.
The United Arab Emirates is a brotherly country that has been present and helped us when we needed it so that we don’t feel alone. Starting with the great exodus of Kosovo Albanians towards Albania. This is a strategic agreement of our country, because it concerns the integrity of the country. Today is the new type of threat, not by showing tanks or planes that violate territorial integrity, but by attacking the cyberspace paralyzing services”, said Rama.
