A 28-year-old man, accused by the Spanish authorities of drug trafficking, was arrested this Monday in Lezha. On May 28, the court of Tarragona assigned the security measure of “prison arrest” to the young Albanian for the criminal offense “Trafficking in narcotics”, provided for by the Spanish Penal Code.
“Accused by the Spanish authorities, of narcotics trafficking, the 28-year-old was arrested in Lezha and arrested with the intention of extradition to Spain. Within the mega-operation “Rule of Law” and as a result of the information provided by the police intelligence, the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, during the coded police operation “Operational 8”, captured in Shënkoll and provisionally arrested, with the aim of extradition to Spain, the Albanian citizen, declared internationally wanted K. B., 28 years old, born in the village of Domgjon, Lezhë.
The Court of Tarragona, Spain, with the decision dated 28.05.2024, assigned to this citizen, the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offense “Trafficking of narcotics”, provided by the Criminal Code of Spain.
