Assembly approved with 96 votes in favor and none against the PDIU’s statement on the abolition of the law of war with Greece. The draft of the PDIU requires the Albanian parliament to engage with the Greek parliament, so that such a law no longer exists.
In view of this, it is foreseen to set up a working group whose object will be the abrogation of the law of war and the treatment of any other problem that still exists between the two countries.
Earlier, during his speech in the Assembly, the head of PDIU Shpëtim Idrizi described this law as a historical and legal absurdity that should be removed. He said that such a law cannot exist between two countries that have signed a friendship treaty./abcnews.al
