A 46-year-old woman was arrested by the police for fraud. Confidential sources confirm to ABC News that the woman from Korça has been under investigation for several months as she allegedly stole sums of money ALL and foreign currency by defrauding online businesses and sending their orders to customers in Korça.
After the citizens who had placed orders from these businesses received their packages and made the payment, the 46-year-old woman, who worked as an agent for private postal services in Korça and Pogradec, did not deliver them to the businesses, deceiving them.
It turned out that during the period 2021-2023, it appropriated the amount of 3,000,000 euros. This citizen is suspected to have invested the significant amount obtained in the purchase of real estate and commercial businesses, on behalf of herself and her family members.
As material evidence, 2 vehicles of the 46-year-old woman were seized. Work continues to identify suspects involved in this fraud scheme./abcnews.al
