A 33-year-old man declared internationally wanted by Italy was arrested this Thursday morning in Fier. The young man is accused of participating in a structured criminal group for drug trafficking.
His arrest was made with the purpose of extradition to Italy.
“The services of the Fier Police Station, following the “Rule of Law” mega-operation, for the capture of the citizens declared wanted, as well as as a result of the continuous exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, have captured the Albanian citizen declared wanted in international search., 33 years old, resident in Fier.
Following the procedural actions, the specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, DVP Fier, arrested with the intention of extradition to Italy, the citizen E. H., to whom the Italian judicial authorities have assigned the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for participating in the group organized crime for drug trafficking. Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome are cooperating to carry out the extradition of this citizen,” said the police announcement.
