The police operation coded “Road Guard 73” is finalized by the structures of DVP Gjirokastër and DVKM Gjirokastër. A 24-year-old man was arrested in the act of transporting, against payment, 13 immigrants from third countries who had illegally entered Albania and intended to cross to EU countries.
A Pakistani citizen who helped immigrants, against payment, to enter Albania illegally, through the green border with Greece, was also arrested. The vehicle in which the immigrants were transported and 2 mobile phones were seized.
D.A., 24 years old, resident of Korçë, after being caught red-handed during the operation, transporting 13 immigrants from third countries who had entered illegally by vehicle, towards Tirana, against the amount of 150 euros per person in Albania and intended to move to EU countries; H.R., 33 years old, resident in Pakistan, after investigative actions have shown that he helped immigrants from third countries, against the payment of 100 euros per person, to enter Albania illegally, through the green border with Greece.
As material evidence, the vehicle and 2 mobile phones were seized. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastër, for further action.
