In a statement, the Head of the Pediatric Ward at Korça’s Regional Hospital, Robert Rado, explained that the infection is known as the coxsackie virus and is highly contagious, while it causes specific marks on the mouth, the skin of the hands and feet. Fortunately, regarding the spread of COVID-19, Rado said that there have not been many cases in children.
“Recently, we have noticed the appearance of a specific virus that shows some marks on the skin, around the mouth, on the feet.
This is a specific virus that as we look at it is also contagious, and if parents have such cases they should contact the doctors and for a period of 1 week should not send the children to kindergarten and kindergarten as this passes from one child to another.
