The Socialist Party has accepted the request of the Democratic Party to set up a Special Commission for Electoral Reform. This commission has long been part of the daily rhetoric of the Democratic Party, while today the Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party says that the Socialists agree with this request and even wait for concrete proposals to discuss.
Among others, Taulant Balla said that the SP trustee for electoral issues continues to remain Damian Gjiknuri, who has been nominated again as co-chairman from the ranks of the Socialists for the Electoral Reform Commission.
Balla also said that he has received a request from the SMI to be part of the commission.
Balla also focused on the extension of the vetting mandate where he said that the request of the internationals must be met.
“I think that the strong recommendation of the internationals to extend the Vetting deadline exceeds the political agendas of each subject. We must stick to the recommendation. That they are the ones we trusted and thanked the IOM( International Monitoring Operation), which has done an excellent job of recommending us through the US and EU embassies that we support it within this parliamentary session. “I believe that the official DP will pass this issue to move forward,” said Balla. /abcnews.al
