SPAK arrests 8 people in Tirana and Durres

Eight people have been arrested by the police, one has been placed under house arrest and another forced to appear in the framework of an operation finalized by the SPAK for violating equality in tenders in the Municipality of Durrës. 6 officials of the municipality of Durrës and two employees of private companies were handcuffed. According to the announcement of SPAK, it is suspected that these persons in cooperation with each other have manipulated the competition for the tender with a limit fund value of 7 083 000 ALL in the period May-June 2020.

Adriatik Velaj, Muhamet Likazhi and Artan Taho in the capacity of members of the group of technical specifications and calculation of the value of the fund at the Municipality of Durrës in cooperation with the members of the Bid Evaluation Commission BP, Indrit Matmuja, and Gjergj Markola have violated equality in tenders favoring the companies R&R Group sh.pk. and Klosi – R Company sh.p.k.

The investigation has shown that Albion Bushi, Lulzime Rami, Riza Sulaj and E.R., acting administrators, partners and employees of the companies involved in this affair, have falsified the documents and submitted them within the competition to win the tender for the driving ladder.
