This Monday starts the academic year 2021-2022, where unlike a year ago students will be physically in auditoriums provided vaccination. All students and academic and administrative staff of the university to enter the auditorium must present the vaccine certificate or a certificate that they have performed at least one dose, or presenting a negative PCR test, otherwise they will not be allowed in the faculty.
On Sunday, the Rector of the University of Tirana appealed to students to be vaccinated in the vaccination points set up at the University of Tirana. According to Artan Hoxha, students and staff should be responsible for safeguards against COVID.
The new academic year was scheduled to start on October 11, but at the request of the Rectors’ Conference, the date was set for October 18, with the aim of mass vaccination of students.
Also the Minister of Education and Sports, Evis Kushi the day before congratulated the students and the academic staff for this beginning of the year and called on everyone to be vaccinated against Covid./abcnews.al
