Residents of the village of Lumas have filed with the SPAK a criminal report against the mayor of Dimal, Juljana Memaj and the administrator of the company “Salillari” sh.p.k, Pëllumb Salillari.
Residents demand criminal prosecution for Salillari, whom they accuse of criminal offenses: “Land misuse” Article 199, “Illegal deforestation” Article 205, “Fire destruction of forests and forest environment” Article 206 / a and ” Damage to habitats in environmentally protected areas ”Article 202 / b.
In the criminal report addressed to the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), 123 residents of Lumas request criminal prosecution for “Abuse of duty” Article 248 for the mayor of Dimal, Juljana Memaj.
They explain that they have been informed “of some criminal actions committed by Pëllumb Salillari”, who is the administrator of the company “Salillari” sh.p.k. According to the residents, the company “Salillari” sh.pk with administrator Salillari has destroyed and cut the crown of pines on the quarry of Guri i Bardhë in the municipality of Dimal.
The criminal report states that this environmental massacre was done intentionally by this company to expand the area of exploitation for quarries and lime kilns in the municipality of Dimali.
Residents accuse the firm of burning about 30 hectares of forest, flattening the entire pine hill in the Guri i Bardhë neighborhood in Dimal, just for its own benefit. For this environmental massacre, the residents of Lumas demand criminal prosecution for “Abuse of duty” for the mayor of Dimal, Juljana Memaj.
Also, in the criminal report, the residents of Lumas accuse Salillari of using the Osum riverbed by building a working plant for the use of aggregates and gravel from the Osum bed, to build a part of the Skrapar-Përmet road, even though it is denied twice by the National Environment Agency “Environmental Permit” to use the Osum River bed.
“We can not close our eyes to such environmental masks which harm us all, so we ask for the immediate prosecution of responsible persons, who do not respect the decisions of state institutions and do not ask about the natural damage they cause to this country. as well as for the employees of the respective institutions who have the duty to monitor and take measures against them ”- concludes the criminal report filed in SPAK by 123 inhabitants of the village of Lumas. /abcnews.al
