The US Embassy has expressed its condolences to the Fino family, Through a statement, the US diplomatic headquarters in Tirana writes that Bashkim Fino will be remembered for leading, at a very young age during the difficult year 1997 and also for his contribution to the legislative processes during his career.
“The U.S. Embassy extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Mr. Bashkim Fino, who passed away prematurely today. Mr. Fino will be remembered for his leadership, at a very young age, of Albania’s National Reconciliation Government during the difficult year 1997, as well as for his contributions to the lawmaking process during his extensive political career. May he rest in peace,” it is said in the reaction of the American Embassy.
Bashkim Fino passed away in the early hours of this morning, after losing the battle with Covid-19. The government has declared a day of national mourning today./abcnews.al
