Exactly two weeks after the murder of Xhulio Prela, the 26-year-old Quick Intervention Forces’ (FNSH) operative, two persons suspected to have been involved in the assassination were declared wanted internationally.
The officer was executed on Saturday morning, December 5 near the place called Gajush as he was returning from Rinas. On the Lezha-Milot highway, he was confronted by a person who signaled him with a flashlight to stop and while arguing with the person in question, a car approached and opened fire on the officer.
Earlier, the police have found the fingerprints of one of the perpetrators in the victim’s car, which may lead to the identification of the perpetrator. It is suspected that Prela communicated on the phone with a person before he was killed. The victim’s phone was taken by the police, but no message or phone call was found in it because the 26-year-old would delete the conversations.
What made it difficult to uncover this event is that from the seized images it is difficult to identify the perpetrators’ vehicle, as the murder scene was obstructed by a heavy tonnage vehicle.
But, the police suspects his murder may be related to an instant conflict or even due to some activity his brother may be doing in England./abcnews.al
