Opposition leader Lulzim Basha in a press conference said that one of the reasons for the spread of COVID-19 is the lack of testing.
During his speech, Basha stressed out that mass infections should continue in schools, adding that the lack of reporting and the lack of response from the authorities remains a concern.
He also emphasizes that there is a lack of investment in technology that according to him would enable the development of online teaching. The mismanagement of the pandemic, according to the leader of the Democrats, has deepened the economic crisis.
“Thousands of family doctors can be engaged if they are provided with the necessary protective equipment and medication packages. The health budget in Albania is half of the budget of Northern Macedonia. The monthly bonus of 1000 euros for doctors and 500 euros for nurses has not being griven to them,” stated Basha.
Govenrment should invest in technology for online teaching, prepare the infrastructure in case the schools will be closed.
“Rent subsidy, abolition of property tax, timely extension of the opportunity to receive loans with state guarantees”, said further Basha./abcnews.al
