The Ministry of Health has confirmed 99 new cases and 3 victims during the last 24 hours. The situation is serious in the infectious disease hospital, where in the last 24 hours a 44-year-old woman from Tirana lost her life, intubated for 10 days and without concomitant diseases, except obesity.
Two citizens did not win the battle, a 64-year-old from Tirana and a 65-year-old from Vlora with concomitant diseases. In the last 24 hours the number of patients in need of hospital treatment has increased. With the opening of Covid2, currently in two Covid hospitals, the Infectious Diseases Hospital and the “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital, 102 patients are being treated, 11 patients are in intensive therapy and 3 of them are intubated.
In the last 24 hours, 46 citizens have been recovered, bringing to 2137 total number since the beginning of the pandemic. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again appeals on businesses, institutions, to correctly implement occupational safety protocols, approved by the health authorities.
Whenever it is possible, is recommended that people to work from home.
