All citizens who use public transport from today will have to implement a security protocol to curb the spread of Covid-19. The protocol is mandatory for all passengers and those who dont obey the rules will be fined.
They will need to be equipped with masks and keep their distance from others, not only within the bus but also at the reception stations.
The employees of this service will have to respect the same measures, while the bus will be disinfected, the municipality will provide disinfectants for them. Public transport must be ventilated several times during travel time.
Full protocol:
1. Every person that use the public transport in the city / suburbs is obliged to use masks while traveling by bus, aslo they are advised to keep a safe distance.
2.At the stations, the passengers are obliged to use masks while waiting for the bus, also the personnel of the public transport will be obliged to use masks.
3.To maximize the security against COVID-19, the service employees of the operators such as: controller, dispatcher, as well as other additional staff will be equipped with protective masks.
4. Meanwhile, according to an agreement between the Mayor Erion Veliaj and the Association of Public Transport Companies, the premises of the transport operator will be periodically disinfected by its staff and will be provided with alcohol-based disinfectants.
5.During the trip, it should be possible to ventilate the interior of the bus, during the entire travel time.
6.In each bus will be placed posters for compliance with the rules of hygiene, recommended by the WHO, located in places visible to travelers.
7.For the rigorous implementation of security measures, every passenger and public transport employee needs to take personal responsibility for non-compliance with this protocol, and are subject of control by the competent authorities and the measures provided for in the security protocol will be controlled by the competent authorities. /abcnews.al
