Prime Minister Edi Rama made a statement with EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca on World Europe Day.
During his speech, Soreca said that the EU has helped Albania and will continue to stand by her.
Soreca further stressed out that economic recovery should be accompanied by the implementation of reforms.
“We are working on the project for the reconstruction of schools. We believe that education is an impetus for development. 100m euros will be used to renovate some of the most important earthquake-stricken places. 230 million euros have been allocated for health institutions and has been brought to hospitals equipment due to coronavirus. Another 45m euros will be available in July for the social part. Albania has shown solidarity with EU member states. The EU is the biggest donor “, said Soreca.
