At a press conference, President Ilir Meta explained the letter of Commissioner Varhelyi, who has expressed his concern over the situation created by the majority for the appointment of members of the Constitutional Court.
Meta emphasized that he did not send the letter to hinder the integration process as it was alleged by the government, but to clarify the EC.
Meanwhile, during his speech, the head of state also responded to the Speaker of Parliament Gramoz Ruci.
Earlier today, Ruci was asked by journalist Esiona Konomi about the situation that involve the President of the Republic with the government, which he accuses constitutional institutions of coup.
Ruci said his relationship with the President has been determined by the constitution and he awaits the head of state in parliament.
During his speech, Meta stated that he believes that the Speaker will demand an investigation on the issue of the Minister of Justice, while urging him to position himself on the side of the law or on the side of the mafia group.
