“It will be everyone’s responsibility.” This was the strong warning of the new Chief Prosecutor Olsian Cela made at the conclusion of the meeting in the Durres Prosecutor’s Office.
In a statement to the media, Cela said there were violations of the law that subsequently led to the loss of lives.
The chief prosecutor said he was satisfied with the investigation and that it would soon will have concrete results.
“The work done has been quite good and very soon the results will be tangible. What I appreciate is that if we are all aware of what happened its that individuals that have broken the law and the consequence will be death.
Law enforcement will be fair and sound. Investigations are also coming up with legislation. The investigation will ultimately serve to make a difference, ”he said.
Asked by journalist Esiona Kononi if the violations involved only the builders or even officials, Cela said no one would be excused.
The new Chief Prosecutor was also asked by journalists whether the evidence were hidden.
