Prime Minister Edi Rama has revealed at the ambassadors’ conference “Tirana Diplo 2024” that Albania will be the host country of the NATO Summit in 2027. He emphasized that once no one believed that our country would make such a big deal, but our relationship with the world has changed.
Rama added that we will continue to strengthen the trust of our strategic partners.
“This respect makes us today the country that will welcome the leaders of 44 European countries from Sweden to Ukraine at the European Community Summit next year.
I want to emphasize here, the role of another ambassador that I pass on here as an example, and not to single him out from others, but this gives us the opportunity to host the NATO summit in 2027.
No one believed that Albania will become a point of reference and the world’s relationship with us has changed so much and this forgives another ambassador who is now the Minister of Foreign Affairs and it is not by chance that they asked him to run for the OSCE. Our strategic alliances are as clear as sunlight and our friendships are well-known and we will continue to strengthen the trust of our strategic partners.
And of course being here in the center of Europe, and it is not easy for us, the word comes that we are between Turkey and Greece and they are our strategic partners, together with Italy. We are a small country, but we have to understand that we have to grow and understand our importance as a country”, said Rama, among other things.
