Prime Minister Edi Rama will be present at the NATO Summit in Washington, which will take place on July 9 and 10.
Also participating in the NATO Summit, as a member of the delegation headed by Prime Minister Rama, will be the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani.
Minister Hasani will participate in the meeting co-organized by Canada, Germany and the USA, on climate change as well as the working meeting on Women, Peace and Security, which will address the new challenges of the changed security environment.
During the summit, Minister Hasani will have bilateral meetings with counterparts from Canada, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Iceland. The 32 leaders of the most successful defense alliance in the history of mankind, NATO, will gather in Washington for the 75th anniversary of its founding.
This meeting is important, not only for the 75th anniversary, but also for the importance it carries. NATO is expected to make public the new geopolitical and defense challenges of the next decade. And while history sometimes makes “traps,” NATO will also address key security concerns in Ukraine as Russian aggression continues, as well as challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. /abcnews.al
