The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, hosted the Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Metin Gürak, in a meeting on Friday. Begaj emphasized during the conversation that relations between Albania and Turkey are at very high levels in all fields.
The President assessed that in security and defense there is excellent cooperation between the two countries.
In his capacity as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Begaj thanked the Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Gürak, for his continued assistance in the education and training of Albanian military personnel.
The Head of State conveyed to General Gurak the evaluations for the completion of the Albanian army with Bayraktar drones, as well as the assistance given to Kosovo with the support for the Security Force and through FKOR, where Turkey currently has the command./abcnews.al
