40-year-old Aleks Marku was sentenced to prison. Aleks Marku is charged with three criminal offences, possession of weapons without a permit, disruption of public peace and destruction of property.
The 40-year-old was arrested after the intervention of the RENEA forces, after holding two minor children hostage in an apartment in Durrës. Earlier, in his testimony given to the investigative group, he said that he shot a gun because he suspected that he would be attacked by the people with whom he had conflicts.
His wife also indicated that the 40-year-old man was under house arrest in Italy for possession of weapons without a permit and that he had left and returned to Albania. He had bought a flat in Lezhë a year ago, while he had been settled in Durrës for a while.
