Chief Prosecutor Olsian Çela has reported to the High Prosecution Council regarding the annual report of the General Prosecution for 2023.
“The year 2023 was a challenging year for the prosecutions of the general jurisdiction due to administrative and procedural issues related to the implementation of the new judicial map and the continuation of the reduction in the number of prosecutors as a result of suspension or dismissal during the transitional re-evaluation process.
However, the efforts and professionalism of the prosecutors at all levels, regardless of the workload, and the institutional and inter-institutional cooperation, gave results in the investigative work and the implementation of the recommendations addressed to the prosecutors with general jurisdiction, as will be presented below,” he said.
Also chief prosecutor Çela also focused on the results achieved and the focus of the activity of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
He emphasized that special attention has been paid to the implementation of joint acts with institutions and law-enforcement agencies inside and outside the country, as well as the approval of new agreements to increase the effectiveness of inter-institutional cooperation.
