An Italian citizen has been arrested in Italy with the intention of extradition to Albania after being declared wanted for fraud. The Italian, together with some Albanian citizens, had created a system of fictitious companies for the circulation of monetary amounts.

“The Italian citizen S.C., 52 years old, resident in Italy, was arrested with the intention of extradition to our country.
This citizen was declared an international wanted by the Interpol Directorate, after the Court of First Instance of Gjirokaster, in 2023, assigned the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offenses “Creation of fraudulent schemes related to the tax on the value of added”, carried out in collaboration, “Providing false information”, “Forgery of seals, stamps or forms”, carried out in collaboration and “Concealment of income”.
