Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that focusing on education is vital for our country. During his speech at the activity “National Program of Professional Development of Teachers”, Rama said that the figure of the teacher should be strengthened and given strength, motivation and ability to face what time brings before the education system.
The head of the government underlined that in a few months, the average salary for teachers will reach 950 euros. According to him, doing everything to protect human capital, as he added that there will be different salary levels according to merit and contribution.
“I want to say that we will do everything we can, we will do the impossible, at this stage, to increase all the support for the school and for the teachers. Albania is today at another level, the salary increases are also a reflection, which will continue, while today we are in the conditions that we can put the potential of our country at the disposal of Albanian families, we face the need to release this potential, for qualified people.
We believe that we can succeed in this challenge, it is very big, it is very strong, and we can succeed if the governing body of the educational system is made available to this challenge.
Today, the teacher’s mission is no longer what it used to be. Today, the teacher’s mission is an Albania that grows together as it should tomorrow. I believe that the alliance with the partners who are invited today, the World Bank, is significant.
It has decided to give a significant part of the portfolio to education and digitization. Thanks to the support, we will have hundreds more smart labs in schools.
