A 2-story building was engulfed in flames on “Ali Pashë Tepelena” street in Memaliaj, in the early hours of this Saturday morning. From the fire on the second floor, 3 apartments were completely burned, while 3 other apartments were partially affected by the flames.
Intervention of the fire brigade made it possible to put out the fire and save other apartments in the building. Fortunately, all residents of the building were evacuated until the end of the operation and no residents were injured.
Cause of the fire is suspected to be the heating equipment being left on at night./abcnews.al
