Plarent Ndreca will be the newest MP in the Parliament of Albania, taking the place of former Vice Prime Minister and Minister Arben Ahmetaj.
Head of the Central Elections Commission (CEC), Ilirjan Celibashi, made the decision to give him the mandate, and then he will be sworn in at the plenary session.
This movement comes after Dallandyshe Bici refused the mandate of MP of the Socialist Party (SP).
“After the verifications carried out with the next candidate Plarent Ndreca, I decide to give the mandate to the deputy of the Albanian parliament, the next candidate of the multi-name list of the SP for the electoral area of Tirana district, Mr. Plarent Ndreca”, emphasized the head of the CEC Ilirjan Celibashi in today’s meeting.
A few days ago, Dallandyshe replied to the Central Election Commission that he will not accept the filling for the vacancy created after Arben Ahmetaj lost the mandate of MP.
“I inform you that I will not follow the relevant legal procedures for obtaining the mandate of the deputy in the Parliament of Albania, due to my commitment to the functional task that I currently exercise in the central institution”, said Bici’s letter.
