Police of Shkodra has conducted checks against the cultivation of narcotics, during which 13.8 kg of cannabis were found in an uninhabited house. In an action, the police identified 9 members of the group and arrested 3 of them.
In August of this year, the Police annihilated the criminal group, 10,274 cannabis plants, cultivated in the villages of Kir and Pult. In the framework of consecutive anti-drug strikes, the Police have continued investigations to legally document the criminal activity of 9 citizens, who, organized as a group, cultivated and produced cannabis sativa narcotics, in various villages in the Shkodra Highlands.
“From the controls, the police services found in an uninhabited apartment, near the Kir river, and seized as material evidence, about 13.8 kg of cannabis sativa narcotic substance and items for the processing of the substance, which were possessed by these 9 citizens, who were identified yesterday, as a result of intensive investigations followed proactively, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of Shkodra.
Following the procedural actions for the case, 3 of the members of the criminal group were arrested and work continues to arrest 6 others. Also, from the investigations, it was found that these citizens, organized as a group, had cultivated 10,274 cannabis plants, in the villages of Kir and Pult, a criminal activity which was destroyed by the Shkodra Police, in August of this year, as a result of the 12th phase of the “Clean Alps” mega-operation.
The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action”, the police announcement stated.
