The Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime has imprisoned the elected mayor of Himara Fredi Beleri. The court examined Fredi Beler’s request for mitigation of the security measure “arrest in prison”.
Beleri, the mayor elected in the election process of May 14, has been in jail since May 12 for the charge of “corruption in elections”.
It is known that Beleri has asked for a lighter security measure with two claims: Health problems and not to be denied the right to run the municipality of Himara, for which the citizens have voted.
