About 20.000 travelers and 4,500 vehicles left Albania through the sea port of Durres during the weekend alone, while the number of people entering Albania from this border point has dropped significantly.
Outgoing flow is expected to continue to give way to a quieter autumn of sailings between the two shores of the Adriatic also in the next two weeks. Ferries have been operating with doubled sailings, while the border control counters are also working at full capacity on both sides, in order to cope with the flow.
July recorded a total of 123.000 travelers only at the Port of Durres.
In the first 7 months of the year, around 202.000 travelers were processed at this border point, or 10% more than the same period a year ago.
