Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, in an interview given to the local media, recently spoke about the agreement with Albania on the issues still open with Tirana, such as the determination of the continental chief and the EEZ, which are still not being completed.
According to Dendia, it is expected that the Albanian side will sign and hand over to the country’s president, a power of attorney document, to give the negotiation group the opportunity to start discussions with us.
“The Albanian side is preparing to sign and deliver to the president of the country (as far as we know, this is not our issue), a power of attorney document, to give the negotiation group the opportunity to start discussions with us. This should be determined by the Prime Minister of Albania, but I think it will not be delayed”, said Dendias.
He also commented on Prime Minister Rama’s visit to Athens a few days ago, where he said that the model has changed to a large extent in relations with Albania and that he believes in Greek-Albanian friendship or even in the bridge connecting the Greek minority.
