Energy exchange/Kim: A big step towards a secure energy

The American ambassador, Yuri Kim, was present at the ceremony held within the framework of the launch of the operation of the Albanian Energy Exchange between the governments of Albania and Kosovo.

In her speech, Kim emphasized that this is an important step in the development and integration of the Albanian market in Europe. According to her, such a step makes Albania a more reliable and strategic country for foreign investors.

“This is a big and important thing, because we are at an important moment in the strategic development of Albania and its place in Europe, this is about an opportunity for Albania and Kosovo and for the region to have stability.

This has to do with stability and security of energy, with making sure that companies look at a safe place. Thirdly, it has to do with integration, since Albania will integrate its market with Kosovo, it will be seen as a way to integrate the Western Balkans.

The most important thing is that we are dealing with economic integration in Europe. The USA has been very proud to support this project. We have to watch our partner develop and integrate. This market union will further increase the market of Albania and the EU.
