Prime Minister Edi Rama has underlined Monday that the increase of average wages up to EUR 900 in 2024 will be achieved thanks to long efforts and patience to undertake difficult reforms.
In a social media statement, the Head of Government underlined that the reforms have been necessary for the Albanian economy’s growth, trade and tax collection system’s modernization.
“NEW WAGES, thanks to which the average salary in Albania will almost double, reaching the historical peak of 900 Euros in 2024, are the fruit of a long effort, perseverance and great patience for difficult reforms and necessary measures for our economy and finances , increase in income thanks to the growth of the economy, trade, public and private investments, increase in production and exports, modernization of the tax collection system through the computerization of real-time transactions, facilitating the increase in the speed of business services thanks to digitization of them, the strengthening of the state as a whole and the significant reduction of corruption in taxes and customs, but above all, NEW WAGES are the fruit of our joint work, of every Albanian man and woman, who in the state or in the private sector, contributes to the Albanian economy with its own work”, stated PM Rama.
