The representative of the World Bank in Tirana, Emanuel Salinas, during a conference with Prime Minister Rama, said that they are working with the Ministry of Finance, as far as the fiscal amnesty is concerned.
He emphasized that the government has been cooperative and has shared its ideas regarding this issue.
“We are working closely with the Ministry of Finance for Fiscal Amnesty. We have to look at the bigger picture and the bigger picture is about fiscal sustainability.
In Albania, efforts have been made to create fiscal buffers and to address issues that the country often faces. Cooperation with the Ministry of Finance requires that it sees this wider picture.
What should we do in a common way that the country needs to respond to unexpected demands?
The second part is focused on debt management. I think we need to constantly look at this big picture. The dialogue we have with the government is productive and open. As a development partner we give suggestions. We give our suggestions and advice to the best of our knowledge and then work with the authorities. Good work has been done and the whole country benefits from past decisions to deal with difficulties”, he emphasized.
